Pennies, pennies, pennies!
My 3- and 5-year-olds decided they wanted to learn about this thing called money that their oldest sister (12) earns each week (our family economy is a whole other homeschool post in itself!). So even though I wasn’t planning in-depth discussions on this topic now, they are curious so in we jump. I have a nice-sized Melissa and Doug set of money that the girls explored. The only piece we talked about today were the pennies – how to identify them, how much they are worth, counting them, etc. The little ones (even the baby) were very excited and didn’t want to put them away.
Life learning so much fun. Lovely capture.
I actually remember learning money in school, starting with pennies! I like that you don’t have a strict regimen and you just follow your kids lead.
it’s like treasure! My girls love playing/learning about money too.
Cute! Their little fingers are adorable – very interested in learning about your family economy 😉
