In the midst of all of our busyness and new experiences, we found out that Robert’s grandpa passed away. While it was not unexpected, it is still sad. He was such a kind man who was always loving to us. I talked with the girlies and we compiled some memories they have of their great-grandpa (through many tears). They have never really encountered death before so this sparked some good discussions (and more tears). I hope he knew how much he was loved by our little family.
Miss G:
His cooking was great. He made delicious cookies. When we came over he made food for us. He would show me around his garden, it was beautiful. They had so many plants and there was one area with no plants so we could run around. I love him.
Miss M:
He was really good at baking and always when we came over he gave us treats. He was a good gardener. His garden was always beautiful and filled with color. I liked that he came to my baptism.
Miss W:
I always felt loved around him. I thought it was fun how he liked turtles and you could always go on turtle hunts in his house. His garden was so pretty and there were flowers that he would let me pick. Whenever we came over he would make treats for us. I know he loved me and I am going to miss him a lot.
